Abstract

Main objective of this research is to analyze the effect of Indonesia's fundamental macroeconomic vulnerability against economic crises. Economic crises arise from speculative attacks of economic agent. Crises periods determine by index of speculative pressure (ISP). Variables that represent Indonesia's fundamental macroeconomic are ratio M2 to reserve, real growth in domestic credit, Real Effective Exchange Rate (REER) and CPI inflation. Result from this research is only REER that have a significant effect for economic crises in Indonesia. An argument of this fact is crises caused by depreciation of domestic currency against international currency.
