Abstract
The aim of this research was to determine the presence of Newcastle
Disease (ND) antibodies titre in kampung chickens in the village of Gayaman,
Mojoanyar, Mojokerto. This research is using 50 serum samples of kampung
chickens. It was conducted in Virology and Immunology Laboratory, Department
of Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Airlangga University, from
May 2016 until June 2016. Methods were used HA and HI test. The serum is
separated from the blood clot, then transferred into a microtube. Serum was
examined regarded as being positive when test results show the HI antibody titre
≥2 (OIE, 2012). Results of HI test indicate ND antibody titre on chicken samples
were examined and all found positive samples of farmers living in 04 district.
The positive antibody titre each have a value of 25 as many as one sample, on 26
as many as two samples, on 27 as many as two samples, and 29 as many as one
sample.
