Abstract

The aim of this research was to know the numbers of total bacteria in raw milk that came from the KUD Karangploso Malang compared to the standard of SNI 7388-2009. This research was using Random Sampling with sample size by Percentage Approach as much as 10% of the whole samples in the area. The research was conducted in May – June 2015 at KUD Karangploso Malang. Total of twenty raw milk samples from the farmers in KUD Karangploso Malang were continued to be tested by Total Plate Count (TPC) in Laboratory of Veterinary Public Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Airlangga University. Observations of this research were the field condition and the total numbers of bacteria from each sample. Data that would be earned is being counted by Standard Plate Count (SPC) and served by tables and figures. The result shows that the numbers of total bacteria in raw milk at KUD Karangploso Malang is different one from another which was between 103 – 105 CFU/ml but still not beyond the standard of SNI 7388-2009 which is 1 x 106 CFU/ml.
