Abstract

Phannacy must responsible for the quality of compounding medication ( drugs) including divided powders. In this study, divided powders from pharmacy's product had been tested by several testing including physical quality (fineness powder degree and weight uniformity) also content uniformity (isoniazid 125 mg) according to Indonesian Pharmacopeia procedures. Samples were taken from six dispensaries of kecamatan Tandes kodya Surabaya. This research showed that none of six dispensaries tested fulfilled the degree of powder fineness, weight unifonnity and content uniformity requirement of Indonesian Phannacopeia. To guarantee the quality of drugs that are prescribed as divided powders, the pharmacy should improve the process of reducing particle size, mixing and dividing the drug powder in dispensaries
