Abstract

DETERMINATION OF Andrographis paniculata Nees EXTRACT CHROMATOGRAM PROFILE BY TLC-DENSITOMETRY METHOD Fesha Febbiyanti The purpose of this study was to determine chromatogram profile of Andrographis paniculata extract for quality control process. The samples were collected from Materia Medika Batu and Genteng Baru Market. The samples were extracted with ethanol 70% using maceration method. The chromatogram profile of both extracts were obtained using thin layer chromatography, with silica gel 60F 254 as stationary phase and chloroform-methanol (9:1) as development solvent. Spotting was done using Linomat V and Camag TLC Scanner 4 was used for peak analysis and scanned at wavelenght of 230 nm. As the result, this method fulfilled the requirement of stability, selectivity and precision. Peak with retention factor 0,13, 0,16, 0,47 and 0,63 were chosen as characteristics peak for Andrograhis paniculata extract.
