Abstract

Racial problem still happens in this time. The problem of race is mostly occurring between white and colored skin race. Because of this and because of historical matter, the white race considered their self as the highest race. The white supremacy is not only occurs in culture, but also happen in cultural product such as film. The researcher uses Terminator: Genisys as the main data and connect it with the main issue of white supremacy and white savior in film. The researcher used qualitative research method. The researcher also used Donna Haraway’s binary opposition to analyze the issue and used some of the conceptual theory of the white supremacy and the white savior theory to interpret this issue. The finding of this research is that the narrative and non narrative aspects of this movie “help” portray the main protagonist as the white hero who has power and the burden to save the world as white savior legitimating white supremacy.
