Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Ac-Di-Sol 0,5% and 5% as disintegrant and PVP K-30 0,5% and 5% as binder on the physical quality (hardness, friability, disintegration time) and dissolution of paracetamol tablets made by wet granulation. Tablets were made containing 500 mg paracetamol and compressed at 1 ton by hydraulic press. Tablets were evaluated for hardness, friability, disintegration time and dissolution. The results showed that mechanical strength of the tablet containing Ac-Di-Sol 5% and PVP K-30 5% was better. From this study it was concluded that FIV with 5% concentration of Ac-Di-Sol and 5% concentration of PVP K-30 was the formula of choice.
