Abstract

Introduction: Weaning from mechanical ventilation procedure is often done in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The weaning from mechanical ventilation can be defined as the process of letting the ventilator either directly or in stage. The aim of study was to analyze the parameter of weaning toward the successfull of mechanical ventilation weaning on patient with post heart surgery in ICU Dr. Soetomo Hospital. Method: This study design was descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. Selection of the sample with consecutive sampling for one month. The instrument for data collection with sheets observation. Data analyzed using regression analysis to find the parameters that influence the significance level of p < 0.05. Result: The results of linear regression tests indicated p <0,04 for blood pressure, p <0,982 for heart rate, p <0,977 for CVP, P <0,583 for pH, p <0,03 for respiration rate, p <0,194 for SpO2 and p <0,043 for consciousness (GCS). These results indicated there were relationship between the parameters of the success of weaning and a significant effect on the parameters of blood pressure, respiration rate and GCS. Discussion : Parameters weaning such as blood pressure, respiration rate and GCS have significance effect on weaning success to patient with post heart surgery. Further study should be a recommended on the effectivity of weaning procedure on prevention of complication and shorter length of stay.
