Abstract
The aim of this research was to determine the effect of sour soup leaf extract ointment as acaricide mite Sarcoptes scabiei. This study was using 25 rabbits invested mite S. scabiei. The rabbit divided into 5 groups ( K+, K-, P1,P2 and P3) each group using 5 . For rabbits group K- didn’t received a treatment, group K+ received permethrin 5%, while group P1, P2 and P3 received 5 %,10 % and 15 % sour soup ointment (Annona muricata L.). Number of mite before and after treatment was counted. Statistical analysis showed that 5 %, 10 % and 15 % sour soup leaf extract ointment effective in reducing the number of scabies mites on day 0 and 8 after treatment and were significantly different from those number of mites before treatment (P<0,05). Statistical analysis also showed that no significant difference between concentration 10 % and 15 % of sour soup leaf extract ointment.
