Abstract
Healthy snacks is nutrious snacks, which is not containing harmful substance that was bought by children in the school and house area. Children need enough knowledge and positive attitude in choosing snacks. Paste the slide image calendar is one of the educational methods combining educationional concept and play activities. This study aims to determine the effect of health education by means of educational games outboard calendar image slide towards increasing the knowledge and attitudes of primary school age children in the area of election Dau Malang concerning healthy snacks. This research was an experimental study in which the research design was quasy experimental study with pretest-posttest design. The sampling method in the research used was purposive sampling with a sample of 47 from grade 4 students of SDN Sumbersekar I and grade 4 students of SDN Mulyoagung II. The variables studied in the respondents are knowledge and attitudes that are related to the selection of healthy snacks. The data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney with significant level α=0,05. The results showed that there were significant differences between the increased knowledge of control group and treatment group (p=0.000). While on attitude variables not happen significant increase in attitude between the control group and the treatment group (p=0.102). Health education by means of educational games outboard calendar slide images can be recommended as a method of education that is more appropriate in an increase in knowledge about the selection of healthy snacks at primary school age children.
