Abstract

Reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of reproductive disease or infirmity. Reproductive health deals with the reproductive processe, functions, and system at all stage of life (WHO, 1964). One of reproductive health is organ reproductive of woman’s health. In some condition, female reproductive health are not met perfect, one of them is convicts woman. This study was to examine the correlation between vulva hygiene behavior and female reproductive health at Women Prison Malang in 2017. Methods of this study, observational analytic design cross sectional. Sampling technique in this study is accidental sampling (non-probability sampling) with purposive sampling. The independent variables in this study is vulva hygiene behavior. While the dependent variable in this study is the health of reproductive organ in Women Prison Malang. Instrument used is questionnaire. Source of data form primary data and secondary data trough clinical data of convict’s health. Data analysis using Chi Square and Coefficient Contingenty Test. The results obtained vulva hygiene behavior, most of the good category, is 30 respondents (51,7%). Incidence of problem in health of reproduction organ were 30 respondents (51,7%). The result of chi square calculation shows that there is a correlation between convict’s vulva hygiene behavior with the health of reproduction organ and statistically significant (p value <0.001) with power of 0.650 wich means strength of relationship between two variables.
