Abstract

Until now, domestic violence is still a phenomenon of iceberg that can cause various impacts on the life of the household and the impact on children such as parenting patterns. Based on the report of Religious Court of Blora Regency, domestic violence is a factor causing high divorce rate that is increase from year 2015 as many as 1863 cases become 1942 cases in the next year. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to know the relationship of domestic violence to the wife with the application of parenting pattern in Blora District, Blora Regency, Central Java. This research method uses analytic research type with cross sectional design. The study sample was a wife who registered divorce in January-December 2016 in District Blora. Independent variable in this research is KDRT on wife and dependent variable is application of parenting pattern. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling and that fulfilled the inclusion criteria of 98 samples. How to collect data by using questionnaire. Data analysis was done by Chi-square test. The results of the study of 98 samples obtained 50% of domestic violence. The most contributing factor was the 34.7% economy. The most dominant form of domestic violence was moderate category 42,9% and the impact of domestic violence was medium category 53,1%. Implementation of parenting pattern of the most among other authoritarian parenting 44.9%, democratic parenting 43.9% and permissive parenting 11.2%. The results of analysis using Chi-square test for the relationship of domestic violence on the wife with the application of parenting pattern obtained p value = 0.475. Conclusion, there is no relationship between domestic violence on the wife with the application of parenting in Blora District, Blora Regency, Central Java.
