Abstract
Endophytic fungi is one of the main sources of new antibioticproducing microbes (Yu et al., 2010). Kabatiella caulivora var.A is one of the endophytic fungi that isolated from Alyxia reinwardtii (Sugijanto, 2009). Fraction 9 of its ethyl acetate extract was known have antimicobe activity (Prihaningrum, 2011) so interesting to identify the compound of secondary metabolite in the fractions 9. Purification fraction 9 using column chromatography with Sephadex LH-20 and methanol p.a resulted 6 subfractions. Subfraction 9.1 shown positive when sprayed by anisal-dehyde-H2SO4 p reagent. The results of analysis using GC-FID show two dominant peaks at 14,83 minutes and 20,38 minutes that separated well, so that the analysis continued by GCMS. The results of analysis using GC-MS showed two dominant peaks, each of them has retention time at 9.752 minutes and 15.047 minutes. Using Wiley 7n.1 database, compound of peak I identified as massoia lactone and compound of peak II is 3,5-dihydroxydecanoic acid deltalactone. Both of lactone was isolated from some plants and fungus, and was known have activity as antibacteria, anticandida, and potentially as immunomodulator. In conclusion, massoia lactone and 3,5- dihydroxydecanoic acid δ-lactone identified as secondary metabolites that support antimicrobial activity in fraction 9 of ethyl acetate extract of endophytic fungi Kabatiella caulivora var. A that isolated from Alyxia reinwardtii.
