Abstract

Coronary heart disease (CHD) has been identified as a major cause of mortality.. Antiplatelet is one of coronary heart disease therapy. The objective of this study was to analyze the use of antiplatelet for CHD patients who were hospitalized from period 1st of September 2016 to 28th of February 2017. The study was focused on drug usage pattern and Adverse Drug Reactions that found in patients who received antiplatelet therapy. The data was collected using retrospective method from patient‟s medication record, and then analyze descriptively. The result showed that the prevalence of CHD was higher in male (69%) than female, it was due to estrogen hormone in woman. The most common type of coronary heart disease is unstable angina. The most used antiplatelet was combination of aspirin and clopidogrel (65%). Drug related problem that found in this study was the antiplatelet use with proton pump inhibitor (Omeprazole).
