Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat dikemukakan kesimpulan sebngai berikut: 1. Pemberian ekstrak buah pare (Homordica charantia L.) dengan cara gastric intubation menyebabkan penurunan yang sangat nyata (p < 0.01) terhadap kadar glukosa darah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus). 2. Pada dosis 75 mg/kg berat badan tidak memberi pengaruh berarti (p>0.05) terhadap kadar glukosa darah tikus putih. 3. Dosis 100 mg/kg berat badan dan 125 mg/kg berat badan menurunkan kadar glukosa darah tikus putih (p <0,05). 4. Efek terapi pemberian ekstrak buah pare (Holllordica charantia L.J)secara gastic intubation mulai tampak pada 90 menit setelah pemberian (p < 0,05).
