Abstract

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus prevalence increases continuously. One of the risk factor is lifestyle. The purpose of this study is to know the lifestyle hospitalized patient in RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Method: This is a descriptive study with medical record observing based on nutritional status, physical activity, dietary, family history and medical treatment. Results: Based on 176 medical record data, 25 patients data meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The most nutritional status of DMT2 patients is normal, with 11 patients (44%). The most of DMT2 patients have mild physical activity with 19 patients (76%). The average of DMT2 patients have poor diet with 14 patients (56%). DMT2 patients most don’t have family history with 21 patients (84%). Conclusion: Most of the patients which is Inpatient in RSUD Dr. Soetomo period Januari until December 2015 with Minimum Twice Hospitalized in a Year have the normal nutritional status, mild physical activity, poor dietary, and negative family history. There were limitation in this study such as incomplete medical record
