Abstract
Background : Hospital funding in Indonesia uses Indonesia Case Based Groups (INA-CBGs) system with payment from the government’s health care administrator, the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Kesehatan (BPJS) that is expected to provide comprehensive health service. One of the parameters to evaluate in hospital health care quality is the data or information written in medical records. Good medical record indicators are completeness, accuracy, timeliness and fulfillment of various aspects (administration, medical, law, education, finance and documentation). Incomplete filling of medical records especially suitability of the diagnosis and diagnostic completeness on the medical resume (RM 12) will affect hospital income, length of stay, and patient outcomes. This study analyzes the suitability of diagnostic and the completeness of diagnostic on the medical resume (RM12) associated with BPJS claims, and outcome in patients who are conducting treatment at RSUD Dr. Soetomo, Surabaya.
