Abstract

Introdustion: The professional nurses are very susceptible to stress. Nurses just like a holistic human outside (bio-phsyco-socio-cultural). In addition to the work pressure, cultural biopsychosocial components which described in the Stuart model of stress can caused stress. This research aimed to analyze the factors that can caused stress of nurses in outpattient unit at State Hospital un Surabaya. Methode: This research has using descriptive cress sectional design, with purposive sampling technique. The samples are consist of 32 nurses in RSU Haji Surabaya and 25 nurses in RSUD dr. Mochammad Soewandhi Surabaya. The independent variables are biological, phsycological, social, and cultural stressor, then the dependent variable is stress of nurses.this research instrument is quetionnnaire and it analyzed with multiple linear regression that using 0,05 alpha. Result: the multiple linear regression showed that in simultant test, the significant value is p(Sig)=0,002. In partial test (t test), biological stressor have p(Sig 0,004, phsycological stressor have p(Sig)=0,039, Social Stressor have p(Sig)=0,049, and cultural stressor have p(Sig)=0,799. Discussion and Conclusion: The result showed that factors (biological, phsycological, and social stressor) have a significant influence towards stress of nurses. The biological stressor has strongest influence. The results of this study are expected to be used as input for the nurse to recognize and adapt to the stress experienced maximum preformance so that it can provide services to patients.
