Abstract

Honey has been found as fluid produced by various bees from nectar flower abd known as a material that can accelerate healing process. Its contains large ammount of dextrose, flavonoid and anti oxidant. The aim of this research is to determine effect of honey in proliferation of fibroblas. This research has been don in Laboratorium biochemistry departement of medical faculty of Airlangga University. Twenty eight samples of cavia cobaya’s central incisive of mandible have extracted and the socket was injected with hoeny. Twenty eight samples are divided into 4 group which 2 group in days 5 and the other is days 7. Histopatologic examination shows that there are significant different between control group and treatment group in days 5 (sig<0,05) but there’s not significant different in days 7 (sig>0,05). The result of this research have prove that honey have effect in fibroblast proliferation in days 5. Limitation of this research is there arent’s further test on the content consentration of the honey.
