Abstract

Deviation behaviour of children in elementary school is caused by lack of moral developing on children. The number of children who have negatif moral behaviour increasing every years according to quality and quantity of their behaviour. internal and ekxternal factors could be effect for lack of moral development. The aim of this study was to describe the effect of picture and picture method towards moral development of 10-11 years old children. Methods: The design of this study was pra-experiment with one-group pra-post test. The populasion were 165 students (10-11 years old) in SDN Tanah Kalikedinding Surabaya. Sample were taken by purposive sampling technique (n = 117 responden). Independent variable was picture and picture method, while the dependent variable was moral development. Data were collected by observation sheets, and analyzed by Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with level Significance α = 0.05. Results: The result showed that picture and picture method could improve the moral developmnet with analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (p < 0.05). Discussion: Picture and picture method can used as an alternative method to improve children’s moral development. The future study are expected to use control groups and examine other factors that affects children moral development.
