Abstract
Background: Adolescence was a period which filled with shock and stress that made some problems seemed complex and hard by the family. This period made adolescent often involve in some social problems by taking high risk attitude that could threat physic and mental health of premarital sexual behaviour. United Nations Development Economic and Social Affairs showed that Indonesia was the 37th country with high percentage of young marriage and so was the second highest in ASEAN after Cambodia. This study aimed to analyse the impact of preconception health education toward adolescent’s behaviour at maturity age marriage in Islamic boarding school. Method: This pre-experimental study used one group pre-test post-test design. This study collected 76 adolescents by total sampling and using questionnaire. Independent variable was preconception health education. Dependent variable was adolescent’s behaviour at maturity age marriage. Spearman Rank Test, Mc Nemar, and Wolcoxon were used to analyse statistically. Result: The statistic Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test shows p value (0.000) <0,05 it showed that there was difference about adolescent’s knowledge at maturity age marriage while before and after given preconception health education. The statistic Mc Nemar Test shows p value (0,000) <0,05, meaning that there is significant difference of attitude of teenagers about maturation of marriage age (PUP) before and after given preconception health education. On the contrary, the result of statistic test used Spearman Rank Test shows p value (0,992)> 0,05, there wasn’t difference about adolescent’s attitude at maturity age marriage while before and after given preconception health education. Conclusion: There was not an impact of preconception health education toward adolescent’s behaviour at maturity age marriage in Islamic boarding school.
