Abstract

The study aimed to determine the growth of bursa of Fabricius. Regression test of age, weight, and amount of bursa of Fabricius’s lymphoid follicles was done to determine the growth pattern of bursa of Fabricius. The experimental animals used in this study were 36 male Mojosari ducks within the age of one day, three days, seven days, fourteen days, 21 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, 120 days, 150 days, 180 days and 210 days. The ducks in this study were observed to collect the datas of age, body weight, weight of bursa of Fabricus and amount of lymphoid follicle of the bursa of Fabricius. As the age increases, the weight of bursa Fabricius will decrease, followed by the decrease in the amount of lymphoid follicles caused by several factors. The conclusion of this study is that age increase results with the reduced weight and amount of lymphoid follicles of the bursa of Fabricius
