Abstract

The first about Using English when writing news article in Executive Office of the President. The important thing when writing news for journalists is they have to know the content and context of the news. English also important for journalist to be able to communicate with the guests to get a better information for their news. Therefore, it is important for journalists to have a broad insight into the topics. Other than that, it is important for journalist to attend the meeting or the event to get a reputable news source. The writer also got some obstacles when writing news in English which are she did not hear the source’s voice really well and she did not expect another institution that she was not familiar with to come. But eventually, the writer can manage the obstacles by asking help from other participants. When applying strategies in writing news article the writer found some difficulties because it is not something that she usually does, so she found some unfamiliar terms and words in the process of writing news. But as soon as she found out about the inverted pyramid strategy, she started to use it to organize the news topics. She also found some difficulties in finding an interesting news headline, but through a lot of reading and research from other news sources, she began to understand how to make news headline and apply it in her news article.
