Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of combination of kale fermentation and omega-6 high concentrate on crude protein digestibility value by PE bucks. The experimental animals in this study used 12 male PE bucks as live incubators in vivo, goats in healthy condition. There were 3 treatments (P0, P1 and P2) with repetition on 4 goats at each treatment. Feed sampling was done 1 day in the first week of research, by taking feed samples in the form of fermentation of kale as much as 500 gram, 800 gram of concentrate A and 800 gram concentrate B given on PE bucks then fecal collection for 7 days. Feces taken freshly then weighed, then taken 50 grams and dried and calculated the amount of dry weight of the feces then analyzed proximate to determine the value of crude protein digestibility. Different treatments based on the composition of feed given, it was P0 treatment as control treatment given kale fermentation feed and control concentrate, P1 treatment were given kale fermentation and omega-6 high concentrate, and P2 treatment was given kale fermentation feed, omega-6 high concentrate and mineral block. The results showed significant differences in P0 with P1 and P2 (P <0.05), but the results on P1 and P2 did not show any significant difference. The best crude protein digestibility value at treatment P2 (97.63%) was not significantly different with P1 (97.50%) and lowest result at P0 (96.74%).
