Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of EGCG on the diameter of burn wound in male albino rat. P0, P1,P2, P3, P4 group with second degree skin burn and treated with silver sulfadiazine, 1% EGCG, 2% EGCG, 4% EGCG respectively. First group (P0) was applied with burn wound then treated with vehikulum, second group (P1) was applied with burn wound then treated with silver sufadiazine, third group (P2) was applied with burn wound then treated with 1% EGCG, fourth group (P3) was applied with burn wound then treated with 2% EGCG and fifth group (P4) was applied with burn wound then treated with 4% EGCG. After that, observed and measured the diameter of burn wound on day 0, 7 and 14. EGCG ointment was not significantly affected the diameter of burn wound. Time was significantly affected the diameter of burn wound. However, EGCG and time were not significantly affected the diameter of burn wound.
