Abstract
The purpose of this research was to discover the effect of the addition of shell towards the weight and length of os. femur of quail. This research used 4 treatments and 5 replications with the number of sample was 20 quails with 8- week-old. Each treatment was given shell as addition 2% (P1), 3% (P2), and 4% (P3) in commercial feed, except P0 was given only commercial feed. Based on ANOVA result could be seen that no significant change onpresentation of the os. femur weight (P>0.05) with respective result as 0,509% (P0); 0,513% (P1); 0,500% (P2); and 0,547% (P3), while the os. femur length that shown no significant change (P>0.05) with respective result as 38,29 mm (P0); 37,91 mm (P1); 39,25 mm (P2); and 38,4 mm (P3). The conclusion of this research was that the addition of shell up to 4% level could not give influence to the weight and length of os. femur of quail.
