Abstract
The purpose of this research were to know the effect of adding lysine to feed substituted Distiller’s Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) to egg production and egg weight . This research used 40 quails breed Coturnix coturnix japonica at 12 weeks aged were randomized into four treatments, each treatment consisted of five replications and each replication consisted by two quails. The treatment were P0 = 0% DDGS and without lysine, P1 = 10% DDGS and 0,016% lysine, P2 = 20% DDGS and 0,032% lysine, and P3 = 30% DDGS and 0,048% lysine. The result of this research showed that it significantly different (p<0.05) for egg production and significantly different (p<0.05) for the egg weight. It can be concluded that the substitution of 30% DDGS with the addition lysine 0.048% has more egg production and more egg weight than the commercial feed addition.
