Abstract

The present study was an attempt to investigate toxic effects of phytosome and inclusion complex on red blood cell (RBC) under in vitro and in vivo test, by way of the red blood cell morphology (RBC) in vitro and in vivo test. On in vitro test, A number of 20 μl of each sample was added to 180 μl whole blood on 96- well microplate V-bottom then observed after 45 minutes incubation. On in vivo test, samples were induced in mice with a human dose of 20 mg flavonoid total and were converted to mice doses. induction was administered for fourteen days, on the fifteenth day the mice blood was observed under the microscope. The crude extract, phytosome and inclusion complex of Grapthophyllum pictum .L based on in vivo test there was no change of RBCs morphology, and cause dose-dependent changes of RBCs morphology on in vitro test. This effect may represent an early sign of toxicity.
