Abstract
At present information can be easily obtained because it is due to the development of technology and information in this era. In the age of information, people will need complete and accurate information. To meet these information needs, the author who is one of the information providers makes a reference collection product in the form of an online directory of historical monuments in Surabaya to facilitate searchers in finding information about historical monuments in Surabaya. The monument is a building symbolizing the spirit and inheritance of the values of the struggle contained in the events of a history. Monuments are closely related to archives of old building architecture that are of historical value, because monuments are generally supported by a number of elements that are able to give prominent features through the art of building architecture. Historical monuments are important in relation to a surrounding community as proof of the legacy of a historical event other than that historical monuments can be used as educational tourist references because they teach the public about the history of certain events. This online directory is created using a cloud-based web development platform owned by Wix. With the Wix platform, the author can create a website according to what the author wants. In this online directory product the author provides information containing a brief description of the history of the monument, the address of the monument, opening hours about monuments, entrance tickets to the monument, and also directions to the monument. Online Directory of Historic Monuments in Surabaya is easy to use by users because it is equipped with a search column besides that in its directory it is classified in the type of monument and monument area and all of them are sorted alphabetically making it easier for users to search information completely and accurately.
