Abstract

There were some important points that could be taken from this final report. The steps of post-editing were very helpful in editing the English edition of Badung Event Calendar. The steps were pre-editing, post-editing, and proofreading according to Schafer (2019). In my observation, pre-editing was also took an important role in post-editing. A bad writing from the source language would affect the result of poor output from machine translation TAUS (2016). Many editors use post-editing in editing text from source language to target language using machine translation. Proofreading as the last step was also very useful. It helped me to re-check and make sure some possibility in errors that were missed. The first strategy that I used in post-editing was identifying the errors in the texts. After identifying errors, then I classifying errors using LISA QA Model, and directly corrected the errors in the English edition of Badung Event Calendar.
