Abstract

Community pharmacy in Indonesia must implement Good Pharmacy Practice and meet the requirements of establishment listed in Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 9 Tahun 2017 (Community Pharmacy Decree). As time progresses, the concept of value-added pharmacy services emerged to meet the needs of community. Therefore, pharmacies are required to change, especially in facilities and services. This study aims to identify facilities in community pharmacies that support value-added pharmaceutical services. A questionnaire survey was conducted in 30 community pharmacies in East Surabaya area. All pharmacies agree to change towards value-added pharmacy services and about the importance of facilities in pharmacy services, but there is a gap between the urgency and availability of facilities in pharmacies because of space in the pharmacy, financial and human resources.
