Abstract
APMS stability test has been studied by increasing temperature test method. Assay of APMS in citrate buffer solution at pH 6.0 has been done at 50o, 70o and 80o C performed by HPLC method at 286 nm as λmax. Used a mobile phase of methanol: water in the ratio 55: 45. Obtained degradation rates constants (k) 1,382 x 10-3 hour-1 at 50o C, 3,532 x 10-3 hour-1 at 70o C and 4,323 x 10-3 hour-1 at 80o C. Value of (k) at 25o C (k25) by extrapolating the regression equation for the temperature at 4,445 x 10-4 hour-1 and (k25) rates based on the Arrhenius equation by using a comparison of the results obtained k50 4,284 x 10-4 hour-1.
