Abstract

Andrographis paniculata Ness herbs is a natural sources show ed many benefits, such as to cure the infection, di arrhea, fever, herpes, sore throat and other infectious diseases. The aim of this research is to determine anti - Mycobacterium tuberculosis ( Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RV ATCC 27294) activity based on the value of Minimum Inhibi tory Concentration (MIC) f rom ethanolic extract Andrographis paniculata Ness and andrographolide. The anti - Mycobacterium tuberculosis activity was carried out by agar dilution method . The results showed that ethanolic extract Andrographis paniculata Ness herbs had anti - Mycobacteri um tuberculosis activit y with Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) 8,0x10 -7 ppm. While a ndrographolide had no anti - Mycobacterium tuberculosis activity at the same concentration in extract.
