Abstract
Nanoparticles are solid colloidal agents particles with diameters ranging from 1 – 1000 nm. Nanoparticles prepared from natural or synthetic polymers. The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of tripolyphosphate amount as a cross-linker on physical characteristic, drug content, and drug entrapment eficiency of diterpen lactone fraction from Andrographis paniculata - chitosan nanoparticles. Nanoparticles were prepared by ionic gelation method and dried by spray drying. The Result showed that nanoparticles had spherical shape. From independent t test, drug entrapment efficiency of chitosan nanoparticles with 80 mg and 100 mg TPPs are not significantly different.
