Abstract

In this chapter, the writer presents the conclusion and suggestion following the finding of the study. The first section is the conclusions of the research finding and the second is the suggestion dealing with the objectives of translating process. The first is about the translation strategies used by the writer to translate the shipbuilding contract. To be able to translate the contract, the writer followed the Camila‟s theory to learn acts and regulations based on Instructions for Bidders (IKPP) as guidance to overcome the problems of translating SSV Contracts. The writer wanted to adjust the terms or abbreviation from source language to target language terms that has normally used. During his process, he also included his own knowledge and ability to translate the contract since the results of translation from machine translation was imperfect. Second, from the discussion in the previous chapter, the writer also found out how to translate shipbuilding contract. Since there were some word or phrase has already mentioned the Instruction for Bidders, it has simplified the writer‟s job to match it into target language terms in Bahasa Indonesia. There were also some mistranslated words that needed a revision from the writer because he was intended to make the reader understand the translation result easily. Therefore, it might be easy to complete the translation if the writer got more supervision from the on-job training advisor.
