Abstract
The objective of the present study is to optimize mobile phase composition in order to obtain a specific chromatogram pattern based on the number of peaks, selectivity, precision and peak’s purity. The method validation comprises of the study of peak’s stability, intraday precision, interday precision, and peak’s purity. Gradient elution method using a mobile phase of methanol-water with flow rate of 1 ml / min and a wavelength of 254 nm as detector showed a specific patterns of chromatograms of turmeric rhizome’s water extract. The method was successfully applied for quality control of turmeric rhizome’s water extract.
