Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) remains a problem in both the developed and developing countries. Results of a survey conducted by the Ministry of Health stated the prevalence of CHD in Indonesia is also increasing from year to year. The purpose of this study determined the pattern of antiplatelet utilization on the coronary heart disease patients. This study is a retrospective observational study with a descriptive analysis. The study was conducted in RSAL Dr. Ramelan Surabaya from January 2012 to December 2012. The data were obtained from patient medical records and included in a table. The table consists of the identity of the patient, complaints, diagnosis and drug treatment patients. The conclusion of this study is often used combination of aspirin and clopidogrel with a percentage as follows: 2 patients (3%) used aspirin, 14 patients (22%) used of clopidogrel and 49 patients (75%) used a combination of aspirin and clopidogrel. In this study, the use of antiplatelet dose is in conformity with the dose in guideline and no patients experienced side effects and potential interactions of antiplatelet drugs used.
