Abstract

During her internship the writer had valuable working experiences in taking a part of meeting such as being a minute taker, assisting foreigners. From that experiences, the writer knew what problems faced by a minute taker in the meeting of Fukuoka University and Universitas Airlangga and how to solve problems in minute taking in the meeting of Fukuoka University and Universitas Airlangga. In the previous chapter, the writer had to face some problems in being a minute taker in meeting of Fukuoka University and Universitas Airlangga. Not understanding, hearing, maintaining focus and concentration are the problem faced by the writer in being a minute taker. The problems in not understanding and hearing are the writer faced in the meeting often. Those problems could bring the writer’s focus and concentration go down. The second point is the writer knew how to solve the problems in minute taking in the meeting of Fukuoka University and Universitas Airlangga. The writer faced the problems in not understanding and hearing. What the writer did to face the problems is trying to figure it out the missing information. Trying to figure the missing information is not best way enough. Sometimes the writer takes time to think about it and get lost what the speakers are saying. According to Gutmann (2016), the solution of not understanding and hearing problem is clarifying if it is possible to do. The writer thinks that clarifying when the minute taker does not catch the information well is the best way. The speakers will repeat the missing information.
