Abstract

The writer obtained her knowledge of being a media writer during her internship at Airlangga Global Engagement in the Event & Communication division from January 2nd, 2020, until April 30th, 2020. The writer also gained knowledge in other fields such as letter correspondences and event organizer. By doing the tasks that the supervisors gave, the writer gained new communication skills and a better understanding of many things, such as cultural differences between Indonesia and other countries. By learning how to deal with international academicians and learning how to improve quality as a media writer for AGE’s official Instagram account called globalunair. In the globalunair Instagram account, the writer concluded that the writing principles applied for its captions are mostly principles of simple language and principles of meaningful language. These principles are applied with a purpose to make the captions posted in the account can inform and educate the readers, which are mostly college students. The captions need to use short sentences in the globalunair Instagram account to drive away confusion from its readers.
