Abstract

In Conclusion, in translating brochure, the translator should pay attention to the methods and strategies used to translate the brochure. The translator also should pay attention about the target language readers and also the cultural word in source language. Since Bali has many foreign visitors but also has unique cultures so the writer used some methods and strategies to translate promotion brochures effectively. In this report, the methods and strategies to translating promotion brochures in Bali Government Tourism Office are Literal, Idiomatic and Faithful as the methods and Borrowing and Transposition as the strategies because of Bali has many cultural words that cannot be translated but the target language reader have to know about it. Thus, these methods and strategies were the effective methods and strategies to translate the promotional brochures.
