Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a systemic chronic inflammatory disorder, mainly affecting the joints and possibly extra-articular organs. Pain, fatigue, and limited physical activity in RA are considered stress factors that can cause psychological distress, anxiety and depression, or both. Anxiety is influenced by several factors. The first factor is the host, including age, gender, length of diagnosis, disease severity, etc. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between host factors associated with anxious conditions in RA patients at the Rheumatology Clinic of Internal Medicine at RSUD DR. Soetomo Surabaya. This research is a cross-sectional analysis study using a questionnaire. Samples were taken using consecutive sampling technique with total sampling. The variables studied were Age, Gender, RA Duration of illness, RA Severity Degrees, and Anxiety Severity Degrees. The data collection method is done by filling out questionnaires and interviews. Hasil: Dari 17 subjek penelitian, didapatkan 29,41% pria, 70,59% wanita. Pada kelompok usia didapatkan Mean±SD, yaitu 40.29±44.167. Derajat keparahan pasien RA yang diapatkan dari skoring DAS-28 didapatkan 64,71% dalam derajat sedang, 35,29% dalam derajat berat. Pada kategori lama sakit RA 94,12% kurang dari sama dengan 60 bulan, 5,88% lebih dari 60 bulan. Derajat Keparahan Kecemasan Pasien RA didapatkan 5,88% tidak ada kecemasan, 41,18% derajat ringan, 5,88% derajat sedang, 47,06% derajat berat. P-value jenis kelamin terhadap keparahan Kecemasan adalah0,652, pvalue usia terhadap keparahan Kecemasan adalah 0,089, p-value derajat keparahan RA terhadap keparahan Kecemasan adalah 0,125, p-value lama sakit RA terhadap keparahan Kecemasan adalah 0,730. In conclusion, in this study, there was no significant relationship between age, sex, RA severity, long RA diagnosis and anxiety conditions at the Rheumatology Department, Internal Medicine, Dr. Soetomo Surabaya.
