Abstract
Ruta angustifolia L. leaves or commonly named by daun inggu is one of medicinal plant. One of its properties is as an antiviral hepatitis C. In its uses, R. angustifolia L. will be developed as standardized herbal drug and phytopharmaca product. The aim of this study is to determine specific and non specific parameter value of raw material of R. angustifolia L. The result of parameter value of raw material showed that organoleptic form of a greenish dry powder with an aromatic odor and a slightly spicy taste. Under microscopic examination, there are some fragments like lower epidermal, upper epidermal, crystal calcium oxalate rosette form, and vascular bundle. Water-soluble extract substance was (27.14% ± 0.47), ethanol-soluble extract substance was (20.17% ± 0.42), loss on drying was (13.02% ± 0.21), total ash content was (10.75% ± 0.01), acid insoluble ash content was (0.52% ± 0.05), Pb content was 0.12 ppm, Cd content was 0.01 ppm, Hg content was 0.00013 ppm, and As content was 0.00002 ppm. From this result, there are parameters that still not fulfill the requirements and that haven’t been done. So it’s necessary to determine the chalepin content and water soluble ash content to complete the raw material standardization data. And repeat the procedure for determining the concentration of water-soluble extract and loss on drying In developing Standardized Herbal Medicines and Phytopharmaca, the standardization process also needs to be carried out on extracts.
