Abstract

Pregnancy affects the body and physiological changes, the impact of these physiological processes may develop in daily behavior. Most of women feel sad and ambivalent about the fact that she was pregnant. Pregnant women with anxiety, may encounter a miscarriage, preterm labour, and underweight baby. The first trimester of pregnancy is often considered as a period of adjustment. These adjustments is to deal to the fact that she is pregnant now. Analytical study method that used cross sectional. The study period is May 2013 - June 2013. The independent variable is family support and dependent variable is the first trimester pregnancy anxiety. The sample size is used to collect the data are 47 people with purposive sampling technique. Ststistic test of this study is the Spearman Rho correlation test. The results of this study are largely family support perceived by first trimester women is medium support of the family with 22 people (47%), largely the first trimester pregnant women experience light anxiety with 23 people (49010). Spearman's Rho correlation analysis showed a significant value with (p): 0.002, correlation coefficient with (r): 0.449 or has a correlation coefficient (r) medium. Conclusion of this study are largely family support perceived by first trimester pregnant women is the medium support of the family, and largedy first trimester pregnant women are subjected to light anxiety. To reduce anxiety in the first trimester pregnant women are expected to engage her families in the antenatal care and counseling.
