Abstract
Latar belakang : Diabetes mellitus dan Periodontitis merupakan 2 penyakit yang memiliki prevalensi tinggi di Indonesia. Terdapat bukti yang mendukung adanya hubungan dua arah antara Diabetes Mellitus dan periodontitis, Diabetes Mellitus meningkatkan risiko periodontitis, dan inflamasi periodontal memberi dampak negatif pada kontrol gula darah serta kehilangan gigi. Lifestyle menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat di ubah untuk menghindari terjadinya diabetes mellitus dan periodontitis. Tujuan : Untuk mengidentifikasi lifestyle pola makan, kebiasaan merokok,olahraga dan konsumsi alkohol sebagai faktor resiko tingginya prevalensi periodontitis dan diabetes melitus tipe 2 di Surabaya.Metode : Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional yaitu jenis penelitian yang menekankan pada waktu pengukuran atau observasi data dalam satu kali pada satu waktu yang dilakukan pada variabel terikat dan variabel bebas. Hasil : Terdapat perbedaan signifikan lifestyle konsumsi alkohol pada keempat status kesehatan dan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan lifestyle olahraga, merokok dan pola makan pada keempat kelompok status kesehatan..Kesimpulan : Lifestyle konsumsi alkohol berperan pada keempast kelompok status kesehatan
