Abstract
Creating a module needs a long process. Not only compiling the materials, the writer also needs to know the students needs. In creating a learning module, the writer should apply some principles in it and decide which types of module she wants to create. The important thing in creating a learning module is the students could understand and learn from the module. This study aims to analyze how to create a good English learning module. Based on a review of the literature, observation and feedbacks was done to fulfill the needs when creating a module for fifth-grade students. Moreover, the writer based her study on Cook's theory. The procedure has helped the writer to create the module, so that the module will be easier and interesting to study. The findings of this study make the writer realize that teachers can make their own material for their students. The materials written in this study can be applied to teach English for the fifth-grade of elementary students.
