Abstract

Saw II is a movie which is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and produced in 2005. The story is written by Leigh Whannell which talks about an old man named John Kreamer also known as Jigsaw. He was diagnosed of suffering a brain lobe cancer which made him very depress and frustrate about himself and life. He denies his condition by creating his own world of trapping or killing other people. He feels disappointed toward his condition on life in general. The study focuses the analysis on Jigsaw’s life in facing his brain lobe cancer. Jigsaw’s denial and disappointment feeling toward his dying condition, human, and life which made him being such a cruel and mean person, are being the central idea of the thesis. Theory of Emotional reaction to analyze Jigsaw’s behavioral disorder can appear and psychoanalysis of The Defense, the Origin of Unconscious, and the Meaning of Death are the theory used to analyze Jigsaw’s behavior as the effect of denying his condition. The result of the study is the cause and effect of Jigsaw’s behavioral disorder. And also found several kind of denial reaction that Jigsaw’s do in this movie.
