Abstract

Cohesion is some form of tie which is realized through the text. A text which contains cohesiveness shows that the text is having the power of sticking together. To replace a textual material in one language by eguivalent textual material in another language need a process named translation. And translation is the replacement of textual material in one language (Source Language) with that of another language (Target Language). So cohesion ln translatlon is the realization of cohesive ties from the Source Language to the Target Language. This research analyzes cohesion realization in translation of Hollywood Wives into Bahasa Indonesia. The research is guided by the questions whether cohesive ties, in this case grammatical cohesion excluding conjunction -, is realized in the same way in translation and whether there is a certain pattern of how translator realizes such ties.
