Pengaruh Infeksi Chlamydia Trachomatis Di Uretra Terhadap Kualitas Semen (Studi Eksperimental In Vitro).

Abstract
Reproductive tract infection is one of the possible prevailing factors of
male infertility. Chlamydia trachomatis is one of microorganisms responsible
for the cause of infection. Therefore, a three-step study has been . conducted to
investigate the effect of Chlamydia trachomatis infection on semen quality.
The first step of this study was a tissue culture, using the yolk sac of a
seven-day old embryo-nated egg. The objective of this study was to isolate
Chlamydia trachomatis from the tissue cultures, which was taken from
endocervical swab of 16 women with high risk sexually transmitted disease.
Giemsa and iodine method were used to evaluate the specimen before and after
culture.
