Abstract
This study presents the condition of woman who deals with polygamy and how converting religion is useful to cope with anxiety toward polygamy. Rika's character in Question Mark (?) movie is chosen because this character represents the life of a woman who deals with polygamy and gives a complete description of the anxieties experienced by her because of it. The converting religion as one of her defense mechanism is an addition value for this study because it is rarely found any example of woman characters in other movies which converts her religion to cope with her anxiety toward polygamy. The writer of this study uses Freud's psychoanalysis such as anxiety and defense mechanism as the main theory to analyze the narrative aspect of this film.
