Abstract
A programming language is a notation for expressing instructions to be carried out hy a computer. It is a merlium (Jf communication between human anrl the machine. A programmer to make a program need an understanding of the syntax of the progrraming 1anguage he uses si nee computer does not tred era toleransi. To avoid ambigulity. syntax rules themselves must be written in a very simple precise formal language called a metalanguage. There are some metedanguages. i.e .syntc1x template syn tax diagram and Extended Backus-Naur Form (EBNF).
